PATIENT INFORMATION

First visit

Welcome to Beech & Reid Oral Surgery. We strive to help patients live healthier lives by providing a caring, nurturing environment where your comfort and health are of primary importance. The first visit is a great time for us to get to know you and learn about your condition and will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Sometimes, surgery can be performed the same day as a consultation, but a complex medical history or more thorough treatment plan may require additional evaluations and appointments to schedule treatment for another day.

It is recommended that you arrive at any of our three locations in Sunnyvale, San Jose, and Milpitas, CA, office a few minutes early to check in and complete some initial paperwork. A parent or legal guardian must accompany patients under 18 years of age during consultation.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:

  • Your surgical referral slip and any X-rays (if applicable).
  • A list of current medications.
  • If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This saves time and allows us to help you process any claims.

Thank you for choosing Beech & Reid Oral & Dental Implant Surgery for your oral surgery needs, where we will strive to ensure your experience with us is a comfortable and positive one.

Anesthesia options

Our practice offers both local and general anesthesia to better suit your needs and keep you at ease during your procedure. Your consultation appointment is a great time to discuss your anesthesia preference, as well as any anxiety you may have about your treatment so that they can be addressed and you can be as informed and comfortable as possible.

3D scanning

Beech & Reid Oral & Dental Implant Surgery offers highly advanced and accurate 3D imaging to better assess your needs and establish a treatment plan just for you. You and your family are in excellent hands at any of our three locations in Sunnyvale, San Jose, and Milpitas, CA.

Why choose an oral surgeon?

All oral and maxillofacial surgeons receive an additional 4 to 8 years of training beyond dental school, which makes them highly qualified to handle the complex needs of oral health. During this time, they obtain extensive hands-on experience in a hospital setting. Oral surgeons are specially trained to perform a wide range of different surgical procedures of the head, neck, face, and jaws. Many dentists refer their patients to an oral surgeon because of their surgical expertise and abilities to treat a wide range of oral and maxillofacial issues.

Instructions

In addition to offering various anesthesia options and expert treatment, we have pre- and post-operative procedure instructions for you to read and follow prior to your upcoming procedure. If you have any questions regarding these instructions, or would like to know more about your procedure, please contact our office. We are here to help you and do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable in our care.
