Dr. Swann pursued a career in oral surgery because of his interest in the surgical treatment of diseases that affect the oral and maxillofacial region. Following his education, Dr. Swann purchased a practice from a colleague and began performing the full scope of oral surgery. He especially enjoys being able to treat pathology cases and caring for patients with oral cancer and disease. He finds it very rewarding when pathology patients can quickly receive the care they need.
Dr. Swann calms patients’ nerves by being honest during the evaluation process. He explains treatment options thoroughly, including the full scope of anesthesia services available to ensure patient comfort.
Dr. Swann earned his bachelor’s degree in zoology from Brigham Young University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training at UC San Francisco. This training provided Dr. Swann with hands-on surgical training while administering care to a variety of patients in a hospital setting.
Dr. Swann is board-certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). To achieve this prestigious certification, he completed a rigorous peer evaluation process and demonstrated adequate skills and knowledge in the field. He continues to uphold the highest standards in order to remain certified.

A devoted backyard mechanic, you can find Dr. Swann restoring Ford Model A cars in his free time. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, who are both equestrians.
